Paphos is located in the western part of Cyprus. The international airport Paphos is 50 km west of the popular Limassol. When is the best time to visit Cyprus?

Cyprus is a year-round destination: summers are hot but busy, spring and autumn are warm enough to swim in the azure sea, yet cool enough to enjoy sightseeing the ancient sites. Winters are mild with temperatures as high as 20 °C even in January. A good time to go to Paphos is in the off peak season: May and September.

How do you get from Paphos airport to the coastal resorts?

Buses run into Paphos or Limassol directly from the airport, Limassol is around 9 euros for a single trip and 1.50 euros into the centre of Paphos and can be purchased from the driver. To get to Kato Paphos or Lower Paphos, where most of the hotels are to be found, take bus number 612, which will take 30 minutes to get from the airport to your destination running at hourly intervals.

Taxis are also widely available at the airport. It is recommended to hire a car if planning to travel around the island and to see the more remote parts beaond Paphos or Limassol.

How expensive is Paphos?

Paphos tends to be a little cheaper than the UK. A meal out can be had for around 10 euros.
