Flights to Alicante: Sun and Sea

The friendly city of Alicante has the ideal location on Spain's Mediterranean Coast. It's also a resort renowned for its culture, spectacular beaches, wonderful parks and lively night life. Don't miss out on exciting excursions, traditional cuisine and magical fiestas when visiting Alicante.

When is the best season for Alicante?

Alicante is an all year round holiday destination. It has mild winters and hot summers with the peak season lasting from July through to August. Why not arrange your vacation during holidays and festivals? The St. John's Bonfires Celebrations begin from around the 20th June to mark the start of summer. On the 24th of June fireworks and paper mache effigies are burned. To see something a little different, the Moors and Christians Festival (Moros y Christianos) between April 21st to 24th reenacts the battles between Christians and Arabs in the 12th Century.

What should you note before you book a flight to Alicante?

Remember to move your watch one hour ahead of UK time.  The cost of living in Alicante is about 30% lower than London. What's more, restaurant prices are generally around 45% lower, ideal if you're wanting to try regional favourite local foods like Paella.  If you're after less crowded beaches, head slightly out of town to La Albufereta.  There's also the option of chilling out and relaxing on La Playa de San Juan, El Postiguet or Los Saladares beaches.
