History
Portland International airport was opened in 1940 and is one of the 30 largest airports in the US and main hub of Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. There are connections to all the main hubs in the U.S.A. along with direct flights to Canada, Mexico, Japan and Germany. Portland Airport is also a hub for flights to smaller cities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, California and Nevada.
