Pohnpei International Airport is the most important of the four civilian airports on the central pacific island state Micronesia. It is on the small island Deketik, accessible via a dam 1.7 km in length that connects the island to Phonpei. Pohnpei is the largest and most important island and is part of the Senyavin Islands, an archipelago in the east of the Caroline Islands.

Regular scheduled flights to Phonpei are currently offered only by Continental Micronesia e.g. from Guam, Honolulu, Majuro or Chuuk.

Location
The airport is about 2 km or less than 1 mile north of the town of Kolonia and approximately 11 km or 7 miles northeast of the capital, Palikir.
