North Las Vegas Airport is an important airport in the US state of Nevada and besides Las Vegas - McCarran International Airport, is the second airport in the city. Along with a few regional scheduled air services, the airport is mainly used by helicopter companies offering sightseeing and panorama flights. Apart from its use as a civilian airport, the airport is also used by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, which has a helicopter base there for daily traffic monitoring and police missions.

Location
Opened in 1941, the airport is on Nevada State Route 599, approximately 10 km or 7 miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. The airport is accessible using the US Highway 95 or US Highway 93.

Between the airport and the Transportation Center (DTC) downtown, the bus route 106 operates a regular service to the RTC transit, from the DTC there is also a link to the bus numbers 108 and 109 that serve McCarran International Airport. Current timetable details are available locally.
