The airport was opened in 1996 and is located about 12 km or 8 miles south west of the town centre, near the Mindanao State University in Barangay Fatima. The airport is accessible on the coastal road to Maasim. Between the airport and the city there is a regular shuttle bus; alternatively, please use taxis to get to and from the airport.
