Fleet
Mesa Airlines has a large fleet. The airline owns 38 CRJ-900s, 18 CRJ-700s along with 60 CRJ 100-200s which it manages together with the subsidiary go!. Together with the airline Freedom Airlines, 28 Dash 8-200s are operated and 36 Embraer ERJ-145LRs are owned entirely by Freedom Airlines, a subsidiary of the Mesa Air Group.
History
Mesa Airlines is a 100% subsidiary of the Mesa Air Group, founded in 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Besides Mesa Airlines the Mesa Air Group also operates the subsidiaries Freedom Airlines and Air Midwest. Mesa Airlines flies not only under its own name, but uses the organization of flight cooperations of different airlines such as US Airways, United Express and Delta Connection. The exception is the subsidiary go!, established in 2006 as this operates flights to Hawaii under its own name. From 1989-1997, there were a number of other smaller subsidiaries of Mesa Airlines: California Pacific, Desert Sun Airlines, Florida Gulf Airlines, Liberty Express Airlines, Mountain West Airlines, Skyway Airlines, and Superior Airlines.
Network
Besides the company headquarters in Phoenix, Mesa Airlines has hubs in Las Vegas, Charlotte, Chicago, Washington and Orlando. Other important cities within the United States are Atlanta, Denver, Kansas and Pittsburgh.
