History
LIAT was founded on 20th September 1956, in St. John on Antigua. The air carrier has focused on the regional transport of passengers and specializes in the Eastern Caribbean area. Since it was founded, the company has continually extended its flight destinations. Meanwhile, the airline, which since the beginning of 2007 has been cooperation with the former competition Caribbean Star Airlines, serves 22 different Caribbean airports under the new umbrella brand "Caribbean Star Holdings LIAT Airlines.

Currently, the LIAT flies in cooperation with Caribbean Star Airlines from its hub in Antigua and the other hub in Barbados to a total of 20 different destinations in the eastern Caribbean, including to Anguilla, Dominica, Puerto Rico, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Guyana and Martinique.
