Spring begins from March till April and summer falls between May and June, Islamabad's hottest month; with temperatures averaging around 38 degrees Celsius. July, the wettest month, welcomes the Monsoon, ending in August, and autumn begins in Septembertill October. Eid el-Fitr occurs on changing dates.

Getting around and accommodation
Travellers share Suzuki cars, travelling from the airport, to central Islamabad. Taxis cost around 400 Rs but are cheaper if hailed outside the airport. The airport gets very busy, so arrive at least 2 hours before flight departures. Guesthouses and cheap hotels cost around 1000 Rs, while luxurious hotels charge around 2200 PKR per night. A monthly travel card costs around 3500 Rs and minibuses are a cheap and fast option. Islamabad's cost of living is cheaper than London, but more expensive than other regions in Pakistan. Basic meals cost around 200 Rs, while business lunches cost about 500 Rs.
