At the airport, visitors can take the "Gautrain" running between the airport and city centre for a 30-minute trip. One ticket will cost approximately 125 ZAR, with an additional 12 ZAR approximately to purchase the Gautrain Gold Card. Despite the lack of designated bus stops, you can flag a bus down on the main roads. Alternatively, take a taxi, which starts at about 10 ZAR for every kilometre. A taxi from the airport to Johannesburg will cost approximately 400 ZAR, they can however be rare in Johannesburg.

Spending the night at a guesthouse or a hostel will cost around 300 ZAR. A three-star hotel starts at approximately 700 ZAR for each person a night.
