Useful information about the flight route 
Tenerife is home to Spain's tallest mountain, some beautiful countryside and stunning sandy beaches. Whether visitors are looking for relaxing days by the sea, lively nightlife or outdoor adventures, then Tenerife is diverse enough to provide all of them. Visitors can enjoy jeep safaris or bus trips to the top of Pico del Teide with its mysterious lunar landscape and snow-capped peaks, or explore underwater on scuba-diving holidays. The seas around Tenerife are warm enough for swimming or diving all year round. Other water activities include surfing, wind-surfing, paragliding and jet skiing. Hikers will find routes at all levels, from gentle strolls to strenuous full day routes on demanding terrain. Younger visitors will find plenty to amuse them at the Loro Parque Zoo or the Siam Water Park with its high artificial waves.
Tenerife is the perfect year round destination with good weather in all months, although North Tenerife is slightly cooler and wetter than the South. Flight prices are lower in the Winter months, but hotel prices peak then. For the most reliable weather and lower accommodation prices, September is the best month. February and March is when carnivals are held in the towns of Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz. The whole island celebrates "Dias de las Islas Canarias" on the 30th May, when events are held, which include music, dance and festivals. 12th October is "Dia de la Hispanidad" or Columbus Day, a Spanish National holiday with events and parades.
For lively resorts and beaches visitors should head to the South of the island, to the towns of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. The West coast is quieter, while the North of Tenerife is ideal for surfing, hiking and other outdoor activities. Visitors will find that food and restaurant prices in the Canary Islands are slightly lower than in Britain.
Bus numbers 343, 350 and 111 take visitors from Tenerife South Airport to the resorts of Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. The cost is around 3 EUR for the journey of approximately 15 minutes. Taxis take a similar time and cost between about 15 EUR and 20 EUR. The bus journey to Santa Cruz takes about 1 hour and costs around 9 EUR, while a taxi ride to the town takes around 45 minutes and costs about 50 EUR. Hostel and pension prices start at about 20 EUR per night, while 3-star hotels cost around 35 EUR per person for a night. Tenerife's local transport provider is the bus company, "Titsa". Single tickets start from around 1.50 EUR. Taxis are cheaper than in Britain, with a minimum fare of 5 EUR for 3 km, then 1 EUR per km after that.
